I had no idea that it was THAT Matt Johnson on Grace!
>From the MTV website:
Singer, songwriter and occasional model
Duncan Sheik will release his sophomore album, "Humming," on
October 6, and the record marks Sheik's
first real chance to pay tribute to his late friend, Jeff Buckley.
For "Humming," Sheik wrote and recorded "A
Body Goes Down," a memorial for Buckley, who
drowned while swimming in the Mississippi
River in May 1997. Playing drums on that track -- and most
of the rest of Sheik's album -- is Matt
Johnson of The The, who also played drums on Buckley's first
record, "Grace."
As we previously reported (see "Brandy Talks
About Wilhelmina/Atlantic Records Modeling
Deal" ) Sheik was among the first group of
artists from Atlantic Records to be paired with the
Wilhelmina modeling agency, although he has
yet to appear in any print or broadcasting advertisements
arranged through the pact.
For more on Duncan Sheik and Jeff Buckley,
check out the MTV News Gallery.

Hello all, sorry for the delay in hearing from me (school, work, life).
First off, in preparation for getting this thing out, this is a current
list of people whom I have as wanting a copy of the compilation.
After careful consideration (and reasons too numerous to discuss here), I
will only be sending ONE copy to each person/email address. Sorry to
burst any of your bubbles, but I want to make damn sure exactly how many
go out. I'm still trying to work out overseas distribution, but more on
that later. Please reply to me off of the list with a subject line of
"PSR" with your email address in the body somewhere, stating that you do
in fact want a copy. I'll go through one more confirmation just prior to
distribution.
Here's the list:

Hello there,
I have the suspect I have been disconnected from the list, or otherwise it
has become VERY silent. Could anybody reply me (my address only, don't want
to flush the list) if you get this mail ?
And by the way, any news of Matt's new album ?
cheers,
Patrick.

Hi all,
Just breaking the silence here with some treasures I bought just last
week which will make some of you jealous.
After searching for years (since 1984) I finally got hold of:
- - The the: Perfect 12" (original version) with Nature of Virtue (version
2) on the flip side
- - The the: UNcertain Smile 12" with Three Orange Kisses from Kazan and
Waiting for the Upturn on the flip side
- - also noticed double 7" This is the Day with Metal Healing Proces,
Absolute Liberation and Leap into the wind on it but it still costs
about $ 35. so I'm still thinking what to do, Buy it or leave it.
Further more I saw the Some Bizarre album with the song with no title on
it from The The. Noticed there was more The The vinyl stuff like Soul
Mining with free Perfect 12". Already got hold of that one some months
ago. I figured that someone must have sold all his The The records to
the store but I can't really imagine someone selling his The The
records, can you? (especially concerning his early period from begin of
the eighties)
Just wanted to tell you this. Well I'm already happy because I set a
goal concerning The The to get all the extra (POD) tracks which were on
the Soul Mining cassette because it broke down several years ago and
finally after all these year I managed to get the lot. But ther are
always more thinks to want.
Still in need for a lot of money...................

Well, here goes then, to relieve the tedium (or absence of it) of the list:
if anyone has some The The live stuff, preferably low generation, please
contact me privately - I'm making a tape for this list (I assume enough
people are interested), but I'm really surprised at the paucity of The
The material out there. There must be more, I hope.
