Visualizing PCA's perfomance in Face Recognition

This demo is based on discussions with a student at a French university whose full name I actually can't remember. (Fang, if you're reading this, could you drop me an email? This is embarassing - sorry!).

The ORL Database had 400 photographs of faces; 10 pictures of 40 people. This demo shows the 400 pictures at the positions given by the top three dimensions found by Principal Components Analysis on the raw pixel vectors. Pictures of the same person are colored the same.
