Activities

I am a Gradute Student at University of Chicago Computer Science Department studing under Ian Foster working on the Globus project. Globus is a toolkit for developing distributed applications (computer programs that run on more than one computer simultaenously). Globus is being done primarily at Mathematics and Computer Science Division at the Argonne National Labs .

I am also doing research in BioInformatics projects, especially on the Grid. I am a member of the Global Grid Forum's (GGF) Research Group called Life Sciences Grid. The GGF is a standards body for Grid Computing, styled after the W3C.

I am associated with the Globus project.   I also study at the the Argonne National Laboratory in the Math and Computer Science Department.   In particular, I am a member of the Distributed Systems Lab and of the Globus Project.   I do research at the Distributed Systems Lab at the University of Chicago is a nascent group connected with the DSL group at Argonne.

I have also work on SOAP - both for GrADS and for Globus. I have a resource page on SOAP, XML, XSL, XML Schema, SCL, WSDL, and other markup technologies. . I also have developed a version of DOM for the C language. I call it UofC-DOM

I have also done research work at the University of Chicago in conjunction with the Cactus project.   I work as a software engineer for the University of Chicago working on the GridLab project. We do not have a URL for the UofC work yet. GridLab is a European Union project to develop a easy-to-use, flexible, generic and modular Grid Application Toolkit, enabling applications of today to make innovative use of global computing resources.
