Department of Computer Science
The University of Chicago

I received a PhD degree from the department in 2012 under the guidance of my advisors Janos Simon and Umut Acar. My Ph.D. thesis, titled "Stable Algorithms and Kinetic Mesh Refinement", embodies my work on efficient dynamic and kinetic algorithms for problems in computational geometry and one in particular: mesh refinement. Before coming to Chicago, I majored in computer engineering and in mathematics, both at Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. At U of C, I was also a student of Adam Tauman Kalai, and under his guidance, I received a masters degree from the department.

I have recently joined the College of Computing and Digital Media (School of Computing) at DePaul University, Chicago.
