Colin and Danielle and some Viet-smitten white dude got a hands on tour by the proprietor who showed them the bathhouse and hiding place for Japanese escaping internment and went over the original settlers of the area in excrutiating detail that would have been fascinating if Colin hadn't just wanted to go to sleep he was so tired. But they had a nice cafe. Colin and Danielle used to (still do?) go there to work but only if they, per Colin's fiat, secure the sole table with a reading lamp.
