Labs
All Lab assignments are to be done in pairs. You may find some helpful ideas in working with pairs on how to make this time productive and beneficial.
All work must be submitted via the drop box at the end of the lab session.
Attendance in the Lab session is mandatory. If you must miss a Lab for the week contact me, kaharris, or your professor, in advance to schedule a make-up.
Grading Standards
Grades will be assigned in the range 0 - 3, based on the following standards (listed in order of importance):
- 0: Non-attendance
- Non-attendance without prior notification to your professor or myself.
- 1: Below Expected Standards
- Consistently did not use design patterns established by the course.
- Material completed consistently failed to meet design specifications.
- Bottom quarter of Lab in material completed.
- 2: Expected Standards
- Consistent use of design patterns established by course.
- Material completed consistently meets design specifications.
- Middle half of Lab in material completed.
- 3: Exceeds Expected Standards
- Consistent use of design patterns established by course.
- Material completed consistently meets design specifications.
- High quality solutions to problems and solutions to challenging problems.
- Top quarter of Lab in material completed.
