Midterm Information

It covered material through Section 4.4. A set of study-guide questions for it may be found here.

Grading

There will be one midterm quiz Thursday, February 2, counting 30 percent; weekly problem sets counting 20 percent; the final exam counting 50 percent.

Office hours for Norman Lebovitz, Ry359A: Wednesday 5:15PM, Thursday 3PM.

For Valia Gazaki, K017: Wednesday 10:00-11:30AM, Friday 10:30AM-noon

Problem session

There will be a weekly problem session 7-8 PM Mondays in Eckhart 207, beginning January 9.

Material to be covered

We will cover most of Chapters 1-6. We will then do material on Boundary-Value Problems from Chapters 10 and 11.
