HyperNews allows a response to be submitted as a URL. But, the contents of the document referenced by the URL is not copied into the permanent discussion record. It may change or disappear as the result of further editing by the author, or failure at the author's host computer. I will discourage CJTCS patrons from using this feature, and when they do, I will copy things in manually. But, how can I detect the use of this feature? Perhaps this test response will show how.
