The course will differ from past incarnations. It will be not be limited to purely theoretical issues and will present a balanced view of bioinformatics, as reflected in the course text. The course will survey major topics in bioinformatics; this field has exploded in the last decade, and we will be able only to sample parts of it.
Lectures by prominent specialists will complement the regular course material. Topics covered will include
