Websites

All the websites listed below (including the Fusion website itself) were composed by myself using Microsoft Notepad, GNU Emacs, or some other text editing program. Several of them utilize a "virtual frame system" I created using the GNU sed program and 4DOS batch files in conjunction which made the websites much easier to modify. (This could have been done in an easier fashion with PHP or ASP, but the websites had to be developed independent of any server-side scripting language.) Many of the websites that are still currently up might have been modified or moved to another location by their owner, and for this reason I have attached a local copy on this website which links to the original, unaltered websites that my business associates and I created. For all of the sites, Photoshop 4.0 or 5.0 was used for graphics, and Ray Dream Studio or 3D Studio MAX was used for any 3-dimensional graphics.

Here are the websites.

Note: As of January 2000, many of these websites have been changed by a third party to an extent that they no longer accurately represent my work; therefore, it is advised that you only look at the local copies of the websites when judging my work.

  • Toolness
This is my personal homepage, which I made between fall 2000 and spring 2001. It's my latest website, and uses PHP to dynamically generate each page on-the-fly. Because this is my latest website, it's probably the best example of my work.
  • Artificial Intelligence: From a Philosophical and Biological Perspective
A final project for the Biology in Science Fiction class at Kenyon. I did all of the graphics, layout, composition, and some of the research for this site, and my partner Nathan Erhardt helped with the research and provided some of the photographs. It also contains my first useful java applet, Conway's Game of Life.
  • The Kenyon College Department of Mathematics Homepage (Local copy)
This is the homepage I made (and still maintain) for the Department of Mathematics at Kenyon.
  • The Denison-Kenyon Mellon Grant Homepage (Local copy)
The homepage for the Denison-Kenyon Mellon Grant. The layout and composition and some of the graphics were designed by myself, and my associate George Faerber helped with much of the graphics.
  • The Kenyon College Department of Religion Homepage (Local copy)
The Religion Homepage at Kenyon... Its quality has been reduced a bit since we first made it because of the Religion department's philosophy of sacrificing a lot of bandwidth for a large decrease in graphic quality, so you may want to look at the local copy of this one. The graphics and layout for this site were done by Audrey Swanstrom, and I did the composition.
  • The Kenyon College Department of English Homepage
The English Homepage at Kenyon. The beautiful graphics featured on this site were done by George Faerber, and I did the the composition and touch-up of the photographs, and Audrey helped with the organization of the site.
  • The Kenyon College Proximity Learning Website
This site was created entirely by myself and features papers written by Kenyon Faculty centered around the theme of distance learning.
  • The Laureate Inc. Homepage
This is the homepage of Laureate, Inc., a company which designs assessment and strategic management systems for large, complex organizations. I did most of the layout and much of the graphics on this page, and George and Audrey did the rest of the graphics.
