Searchable for different attributes: like major, year,location, etc;

Generate these hypertext links automatically;

Let the user update his/her information by using "forms";

After each user update, regenerate the current directory file;

Any other suggestion?

So perhaps we should put our current information into a database. Is there any nice free one around? Also we might put more entries (fields) into each one's file.

11/29/96: I am considering setting up a separate server for our site. I will then set up some of the functions as mentioned long time ago by Jie Chen.

12/15/96: I have got the server at fermi.uchicago.edu. The final page will be at /CSSA there. But I need more time before this will turn into reality. It will gradually have the above features.
