Course Info

• The program begins in Week 2 (June 26). It is strongly recommended that all apprentices attend the first week of Babai's and Abért's courses. Those first-week materials have been designed to be accessible to all participants and include prerequisites for the apprentice program. During the first week, Abért introduces Algebraic Number Theory and Babai discusses elements of Analytic Number Theory.
• During the apprentice program (weeks 2--4), Abért will discuss Linear Algebra and Babai will continue Number Theory. Each Tuesday will be PROBLEM DAY (Wednesday on the week of July 4) where participants present their solutions to problems sheets handed out a week in advance. The first set of problems is available online; the problems will be discussed on Tuesday, June 27. Subsequent problem sets will be posted after each problem session.
